Integrated Informatics System for Cancer Research + Population Health

RS21 has partnered with the University of New Mexico Comprehensive Cancer Center (UNMCCC) to develop an Integrated Informatics System.

The system further elevates patient care, catalyzes novel research efforts, and enhances community outreach and engagement efforts.

Through the development of this integrated cancer research platform, clinicians and researchers can engage with data that represents the multifaceted factors that influence outcomes for patients.

The system integrates and normalizes cancer research and care data from disparate sources into a cohesive data warehouse, includes translation of internal and external data formats, and adheres to rigorous reporting requirements that will improve efficiencies and help garner additional research funds for the cancer center.

The system also simplifies the research process and streamlines access to patient data.

This integrated data and analytics environment provides a foundation upon which data can be continually added and powerful AI tools can be incorporated.

Driving Results

The new integrated informatics system will enable physicians and scientists at UNM Comprehensive Cancer Center to acquire, harmonize, and integrate siloed cancer clinical, research, and population datasets into a highly-performing data warehouse and a sophisticated population health research platform.

The system will become an integral component in providing state-of-the-art cancer diagnosis and treatment.
