RS21 developed CoViz (LLNL-MI-813334) in partnership with Lawrence Livermore National Lab (LLNL) as a clickable prototype, and blueprint for software application development, that helps scientists and utilities better understand the implications of smart meter technology and how it can be used to improve power and communications grid resiliency.
Partnering with Emera, RS21 developed a real-time situational awareness microgrid dashboard for a new paradigm of electric power transmission and storage based on distributed control systems and storage and fault-tolerant networks. Visualizing how this paradigm operates differently from the status quo allows non-technical users to understand its potential benefits.
The Natural Disaster Command Center offers a bleeding edge exploration of what is possible in disaster resilience.
