Innovation for the space domain

State-of-the-art AI to protect critical space infrastructure

RS21 works with the public and private space sector organizations to identify opportunities for applying artificial intelligence and machine learning throughout the space infrastructure lifecycle and support the development, deployment, operation, maintenance, and protection of space assets.

We employ state-of-the-art AI techniques for condition-based predictive maintenance (CBM+) and performance optimization for satellites, ground stations, and critical equipment.

By bringing together artificial intelligence and machine learning practitioners with space infrastructure stakeholders, we are developing real-time, on-orbit autonomous solutions for better maintenance and performance of satellites and space vehicles.

SPAICE: AI for Satellite Health Monitoring + Optimized Prediction

The Space Prognostic AI Custodian Ecosystem (SPAICE) is an AI-powered monitoring system that performs predictive maintenance and diagnostics to optimize satellite and ground maintenance performance.

RS21 Earns Patent for AI-based Monitoring

RS21 was awarded a patent for training AI and machine learning algorithms based on satellite telemetry and historical data. SPAICE improves satellite performance by facilitating autonomous functions that prompt investigations.

Space Force Funds RS21’s SPAICE with SBIR Phase III

Immediate Phase III SBIR efforts will be focused on RS21's partnership with the DOD Space Test Program (STP) to deploy SPAICE to the STP watch floor at the Johnson Space Center.

RS21 Awarded SBIR Phase II Contract with the U.S. Air Force

RS21 has been awarded a Direct to Phase II Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) contract from AFRL to expand its AI-powered satellite monitoring system. SPAICE, or the Space Prognostic AI Custodian Ecosystem, is an autonomous solution for predictive maintenance and diagnostics that prevents disruptive events and optimizes performance in satellites and ground stations.
